Apply for exemption by posting your documents to the HE-Enrolment Programme (Matriculation Board)
1. All documents should be correctly certified as follows:
• the Registrar of a South African University
• a South African Embassy, Trade Mission or Consulate in a foreign country
• a Public Notary.
Result slips, fax copies and copies certified by a commissioner of oaths are not acceptable
1. To enable the Matriculation Board to ascertain whether you will qualify for any type of exemption certificate please submit the following correctly certified documents
• The completed M30E Application form
• Copy of identity document or passport reflecting full names and date of birth or a copy of the birth certificate.
• Copy of marriage certificate (if applicable) and divorce papers (if applicable).
• Copies of High School certificates/diploma. In the case of GCE, IGCSE, HIGCSE, AS Level and A-Level subjects, certificates for all examinations must be submitted.
• American High School Graduation Diploma must be accompanied by official SAT results or a letter of eligibility for admission to degree studies at any US university with a valid senior college accreditation issued by any of the following accreditation bodies: ACICS, DETC, MSCHE, NEASC-CIHE, NCA-HLC, NWCCU, SACS-CC, WASC-ACSCU.
• Copies of tertiary diploma/degree certificate as well as academic transcripts. (if applicable)
• In the case of degree studies not completed, please include a complete academic transcript.
1. PLEASE NOTE:
• The exemption certificate will only be issued on receipt of any other requested documents and the payment of the exemption fee. THIS IS A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. Please do not pay before you are instructed to pay.
• The fact that you may qualify for a certificate of conditional or complete exemption does not imply that the university is obliged to admit you since you may not satisfy the faculty requirements.
• A certificate of conditional exemption on the basis of approved foreign qualifications will only be issued provided a public South African university is prepared to offer you a place.
